1. Using Mel
These terms are an agreement between you and Mel (“we,” “us”) for your use of agentmel.ai and the Mel product. By using Mel, you agree to them. If you use Mel for a team or brokerage, you confirm you can accept these terms for it.
Mel is for licensed real estate professionals, teams, and brokerages in the United States, and you must be at least 18 to use it.
2. Early access
Mel is invite only while in early access. Joining the waitlist doesn’t guarantee an invite. Early-access features may change, may not always be available, and may have bugs. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
3. Your account
Keep your sign-in details secure and your account information accurate. You’re responsible for activity on your account, including by people you invite to it. Let us know right away if you think someone has used your account without permission.
4. Invite codes and credits
- Invite codes are for the person they were sent to and can’t be sold.
- Credits have no cash value and can’t be transferred, sold, or exchanged for money.
- We may set or change how credits are earned, used, and expire.
5. Text messages
If you agree to get texts from Mel, we’ll send messages about your waitlist spot, your invite, and your account to the number you give us. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Carriers aren’t liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of any purchase.
6. Your responsibilities when Mel acts for you
Mel can call, text, email, post, and send documents for you. You’re responsible for how you use it, including:
- Getting any consent you need before Mel calls, texts, or records conversations with your clients and leads, and following communication and telemarketing laws.
- Following fair housing, advertising, licensing, and brokerage rules in your marketing and messages.
- Having the right to the contacts, photos, listings, and documents you give Mel.
7. Acceptable use
Don’t use Mel to break the law, send spam, harass anyone, mislead clients, infringe others’ rights, upload harmful code, or try to get around Mel’s limits or security. Don’t resell Mel or use it to build a competing product. We may suspend or end access for misuse.
8. Your content
You keep ownership of what you put into Mel and what Mel makes for you. You give us permission to use your content only to run, secure, and improve Mel and as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. AI-generated work
Mel uses AI to draft marketing, messages, documents, and compliance checks. AI can make mistakes. Review Mel’s work before you rely on it or send it. Mel doesn’t give legal, tax, or financial advice, and its document and compliance checks don’t replace review by your broker or attorney.
10. Other services
Mel connects to services like Instagram, email, calendars, and e-signature providers. Their own terms apply, and we aren’t responsible for them.
11. Our intellectual property
Mel, its software, templates, and brand belong to us or our licensors. These terms don’t give you any rights to them beyond using Mel as allowed here.
12. Fees
Prices for paid plans and Enterprise packages, and any renewal and refund terms, are shown or agreed with you before you buy.
13. Disclaimers
Mel is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, including that Mel will be error free or uninterrupted, or that its output will be accurate or complete.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100.
15. Indemnity
You agree to defend and cover us against claims that come from your content, your use of Mel, or your breaking these terms or the law.
16. Ending these terms
You can stop using Mel at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we stop offering Mel. Sections that by their nature should continue, like ownership, disclaimers, and limits of liability, still apply afterward.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top, and if the changes are significant, we’ll let you know before they take effect. Using Mel after that means you accept the new terms.
