1. Information we collect
This policy explains how Mel (“we,” “us”) handles personal information on agentmel.ai and in the Mel product.
Information you give us
- Waitlist applications: your mobile number, full name, email, whether you’re joining as an individual agent or a team, your state, and your real estate license number.
- Enterprise inquiries: your name, work email, mobile number, brokerage name, number of agents, main state, and, if you add them, your title and message.
- Messages to us: anything you send when you contact us.
Information from using Mel
Once you have access, Mel works with the information you and your clients give it: contacts and notes, calls and texts through your Mel number, email and calendar you connect, listings and photos, designs and captions, and the documents and transaction files you upload or create.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our servers record basic technical details when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. The site doesn’t use advertising or analytics cookies. While you fill in a form, your browser keeps your entries for that tab so you don’t lose them between steps; they’re cleared when you finish or close the tab.
2. How we use your information
- Review your waitlist application and contact you about access to Mel.
- Reply to Enterprise inquiries and prepare pricing for your brokerage.
- Provide Mel’s features, like updating your contacts, designing your marketing, drafting documents, and checking files.
- Keep Mel secure, prevent misuse, and fix problems.
- Improve Mel and develop new features.
- Meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We don’t sell your personal information.
3. How we share your information
- Service providers that help us run Mel, such as hosting, texting, email, and e-signature, only to provide their services to us.
- People you choose. For example, a transaction file is visible to the people on the transaction and the brokerage team you choose, and documents you send for signature go to the people you send them to.
- Services you connect, like Instagram or your email, when you ask Mel to post or send something for you.
- Legal reasons, when the law requires it or to protect the rights and safety of our users and others.
- Business changes, such as a merger or acquisition, under this policy’s protections.
We don’t share mobile numbers or text messaging consent with third parties for their own marketing.
4. Text messages
If you agree to get texts from Mel, we’ll use your mobile number to send messages about your waitlist spot, your invite, and your account. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of any purchase.
5. Your choices
- Ask to see, correct, or delete your personal information by contacting us.
- Opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP.
- Unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email.
- Withdraw your waitlist application or Enterprise inquiry by contacting us.
Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under state privacy laws. We won’t treat you differently for using them.
6. How we protect and keep your information
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, like encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
We keep personal information as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, then delete or de-identify it.
7. Children
Mel is for real estate professionals and isn’t meant for anyone under 18. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top, and if the changes are significant, we’ll let you know before they take effect.
